Videum 0016 VO |
|
|
|
The Videum 0016 VO is the 16 input version of the Videum 4400 VO. It is a high-performance multi-channel video capture board with 16 inputs for up to 16 streams designed for video surveillance applications. Start 16 Windows Media Encoders and stream 16 cameras!
The Videum 0016 VO is a multi-channel video capture card specifically engineered for video surveillance applications and solutions. The Videum 0016 VO gives OEMs and systems integrators a high-performance, scalable, and reliable solution to meet the growing demand for video surveillance solutions at an affordable price. A lower priced single-channel audio/video card (Videum 4100) and 4-channel versions with audio and video (Videum 4400 AV) are also available.
It comes with a high performance DirectShow (WDM driver) which makes 16 video devices available. In this manner up to 16 video processing applications may be started. For example, up to 16 Windows Media Encoders may be started to record and stream up to 16 cameras.

| Benefits |
- Performance
Winnov's Elastic Frame Buffer, coupled with its Multi-DMA engine, optimizes the system's PCI bus use, to deliver clear and sharp images at high field rates with very low CPU utilization and very low power consumption.
- 16 Streams
Winnov's Videum 0016 VO is designed to stream up to 16 cameras. It has 4 capture channels with 4 inputs each. The total frame is 100 fps (25 fps per channel). It can stream four streams at up to 704x576 at 25 fps each. For surveillance applications the recommended video resolution is 352x288 or less. It can stream 8 streams at 12.5 fps (PAL) each or 16 streams at a lower framerate.
- Scalable
Because of its proprietary ASIC, the Videum 0016 VO capture
card provides a scalable solution for OEMs’ and systems
integrators applications demanding multiple boards
within each system with no DMA or IRQ conflict. Winnov’s
Videum 0016 VO is also optimized for multi-processor
systems (SMP capable) without the typical bus conflicts found with capture cards that do not have an on-board frame buffer.
- Flexible and highly-integrated
The Videum 0016 VO is easily integrated into all video
surveillance applications from the most simple to
the very complex. It supports 16 video devices with up to 240 fps (fields per second) aggregate video bandwidth per card, so that one video processing application may be started for each video input or camera. By bundling video and features including watchdog and digital input triggers on one board, Winnov has eliminated the need for you to incorporate multiple boards into your customer’s solution.
-
Reliable
The reliability of the solution built around the Videum 0016 VO is increased through the integration of a built-in watchdog function, automatically rebooting the system in the event of a software lock-up. This enables developers to catch intermittent software-based failures. It allows for complete unattended operation, 24x7x365. This watchdog also provides an automatic failure log for monitoring the solution’s performance.
-
Upgradable
Winnov's patent pending technology revolutionizes the audio/video capture industry with the first solution that allows its hardware to be upgraded via software download.
-
Free Software Development Kit (SDK)
Winnov's powerful SDK (Videum Software Development Kit)
dramatically reduces development time of sophisticated applications with embedded modules such as motion detection, text and graphics overlays, and support for multiple compression standards. In addition, the SDK is optimized for the .NET development environment with support for C#, C++, and Visual Basic.
